MARYSVILLE — Marysville-Pilchuck volleyball entered Oct. 10's game against Arlington (0-4, 1-7) seeking to win with efficient ball management and scrappy defense.

Pilchuck won three out of four games to take the match 3-1, but coach Shelly Johnson thinks her Tomahawks are better than what they put out.

"We try not to make a lot of errors, but we had a lot of unforced errors at the end," Johnson said. "I think we kind of went through the motions tonight - we had a hard time playing at our level."

The Tomahawks were strong in Game 1 with a 25-15 win, faltered 22-25 in Game 2, rebounded 25-17 in Game 3 and put Arlington away with a 25-20 win in Game 4.

M-P's outside hitters Hannah Watson and Lexi Fitzmaurice finished with 14 and 11 kills apiece. Setter RaeAnn Bobadilla kept the offense running through Watson and Fitzmaurice with 41 assists and four kills of her own. Junior libero Haily Braemer kept the defense strong with 15 digs.

Arlington fell to 0-5 league and 1-8 overall, but senior setter Megan Abdo had 22 assists to enable outside hitter Lexi Sarver's 12 kills.
