A community that is caring and generous
September 23, 2008 · Updated 4:56 PM
The fourth annual Back to School Clothing Giveaway at Messiah Lutheran Church and Preschool was a great success. Over 160 families attended, representing in excess of 450 boys and girls. It is truly wonderful to live in a community that is as caring and generous as Marysville and its neighboring towns.
This event would not have been possible without the generous donations from Costco, the Evergreen Gleaning Association, Fred Meyers, the employees of Khols, the Leggs Hanes Bali Playtex Outlet, the Levis Outlet, the Oshkosh B’gosh outlet, the Stride Rite Sperry outlet, Walmart and Yovka. I would also like to thank the citizens of Marysville and the surrounding communities who donated clothing to this event, the committed volunteers who donated their hard work and time and the establishments who helped advertise the Back to School Clothing Giveaway. Neighbor helping neighbor events like the Back to School Clothing Giveaway are not possible without great support from a great community like ours.
