On March 8, Marysvilles finest held a fundraiser called Fuel the Flaim at Bostons Pizza in Smokey Point. In a show of solidarity and compassion, Marysville Firefighters gave up their time for a Lake Stevens Firefighter/Paramedic who was stricken with cancer.
Marysville Firefighters waited tables, greeted the patrons, and gave tours of their new state of the art ladder truck. Firefighters collected extra tips from the community to help off set medical costs for a fellow firefighter in need.
Words cant convey the gratitude Lake Stevens Firefighters feel toward their brothers and sisters in Marysville for performing such an act of kindness and generosity. I would like to thank Bostons Pizza for sponsoring this event and thank the citizens who came out to this event and contributed to this event.
I am proud to live in a community that comes together for others in times of need.
