We had a dog-gone great time. This year, Cascade Valley Hospital Foundations 5K Poker & Paws Walk event was, again, a huge success. After all was said and done and the last of dog hair was swept away, we tallied up our dollars and raised more than $16,000, our best year yet. None of this could have been accomplished were it not for the generosity of our sponsors.
Corporate sponsors donated at least $1,000 and include Audit & Adjustment Co., Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation, First Heritage Bank, Mike and Joan Miles, NW Emergency Physicians, Olympic Place Retirement & Assisted Living Community and Windermere Real Estate/Arlington.
Gold sponsors donated at least $500 and include Cascade Valley Hospital medical staff, First American Title Co. and Moss Adams LLP.
Silver sponsors donated at least $250 and include All Creatures Veterinary Service, Arlington Family Chiropractic, 10 Minute Walk-In Clinic, Bailey, Duskin, Peiffle & Canfield, PS, Bellanova Coffee, Brooks Welding, Cardinal Health Medical Products, El Gitanos Mexican Restaurant/Smokey Point, Flowers by George, Frontier Bank, Group Health, John L. Scott/Arlington, NW Veterinary Service, Penway Printing & Design, Sodexho, The Bistro San Martin and the Whitehorse Medical Center.
Bronze Sponsors donated at least $100 and include Arlington Hardware & Lumber, Bowman Manufacturing Co., Cascade Medical Center Pharmacy, Cascade Valley Senior Living, Chris Baldwin, Zoll Medical Rep., Crown Distributing, Favorite Pastime, Kevin Harrison, DDS, PS. Little Italy Italian Market, McKesson Pharmaceutical, New Beginnings Thrift Store and Whitfields United Insurance.
Thank you to the following businesses for their donations to our goodie bags: Washington Health Foundation, First Heritage Bank, Bellanova Coffee, Sodexho Foods, Group Health Cooperative, George R. Hussey, DDS, Pet Containment Systems NW, Penway Printing, Virginia Collins and Kay Duskin.
For our Doggie Bag donations we thank Family Pet Medical & Surgery and offer a special thank you to Millers Natural Pet Center. They not only donated goodies for the pooches, but also for a few puppies, a couple kittens and they stuffed all of the bags as well.
Donated prizes provided by the River Rock Inn B&B, The Bronze Salon, Unique Interiors, Favorite Pastimes, Kim Bryson, Karin and Don Stoltz and Joan Miles. A special raffle pooch gift certificate for an annual exam was from NW Veterinary of Arlington.
Thank you to our volunteers, who included Mikie Miles, Gisela Hinchcliffe, Friends of the Arlington Library, Heather and Claire Logan, Kelly Penny, Olympic Place Retirement & Assisted Living Community and all of the Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation members. Again, thank you for your generous donations of dollars, give away items and time.
I would like to personally thank everyone, including the walkers and the dogs, for supporting the Poker & Paws Walk and Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation in 2006. These contributions help raise money that will go directly back into Cascade Valley Hospital to benefit not only our patients, but our community as well. Support your community by visiting the merchants listed above.
Warm wishes from all of us at the Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation.
