The choice for Snohomish County Sheriff is obvious. For the past 35 years the Snohomish County Sheriff candidate has been fighting crime while working his way up to the rank of Bureau Chief. The State Trooper/politician candidate, while patrolling state highways the last 10 years, has also been a member of the Washington State Legislature which is responsible for the unacceptable performance of such state agencies as Department of Social and Health Services, Child Protective Services and the Department of Corrections. These agencies have failed our citizens to the point that criminals under state supervision have killed three police officers in Washington state in the past two years and allowed children of our state to be sexually assaulted, abused and killed while under the care of the state agencies which the trooper/politicians political party has had oversight for several decades.
Do we need a well-seasoned, veteran law enforcement police officer/administrator or a traffic cop/politician leading the Snohomish County Sheriffs Department? As a 40-year resident of Snohomish County and retired Police Administrator, for me the choice is clear. I am voting for Tom Greene for Snohomish County Sheriff and I hope you will join me.
