May 3rd 1939 in Everett,

WA and was preceded in

death by his parents Jacob

and Virginia (Fortune)

Whitley; daughter,

Connie Whitley; brother

Duane Whitley.

Doug was a veteran,

successful entrepreneur

and avid hydroplane

racer winning a national

championship in 1960

and racing vintage

hydroplanes into his

seventies. He is survived

by his daughter Susan

Kaylor and fiancé,

Dan Stead; son, Bob

Whitley and wife,

Dorene; grandchildren,

Brittany Williams and

husband Jim, Brandon

Kaylor and fiancé

Trisha Bohling, Steven

Nelson, Jasmine Whitley,

and Emma Whitley;

great-grandchildren,

Milly Williams, David

A service for friends

and family will be held

at Atonement Lutheran

Church in Arlington,

on Saturday, July 11 at

11:00am. Following the

service will be a potluck

to celebrate his life and

share memories at Lake

Goodwin and if you

attend please bring food/

drink for yourself and if

possible a dish to share.
