M’ville shuffles administrators, hires new ones

MARYSVILLE – The Marysville School District has made a number of administrative changes.

•Richard Zimmerman is principal at Marysville Getchell High School. He was principal at Auburn High School for nine years. •Former MG Principal Shawn Stevenson now serves as director of assessment and student services.

•Marysville-Pilchuk High School will have Principal Dave Rose and new assistant principals Jeff Ingrum and Christine Hinojosa. Ingrum is a graduate of M-P with extensive experience. Hinojosa is from Arlington High School, where she served as an interim principal and assistant principal.

•Arts & Technology and Mountain View high schools’ Alternative Learning Experience Program, and 10th Street Middle School, will have Ray Houser as principal of all three. •Richard Middaugh, former assistant principal at Totem Middle School, is principal of Liberty Elementary. •Russ Wilsterman will take Middaugh’s place. Wilsterman is from the Mount Vernon School District.

•Former M-P assistant principal Deann Anguiano has moved to Marysville Middle School.

•Cory Taylor is moving from Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary to serve as principal at Shoultes Elementary. •Douglas Shook is the Tulalip Elementary principal. Shook comes from the Renton School District.

•Anne Neuman, assistant principal at Allen Creek and Sunnyside elementaries, is assistant principal at Tulalip Elementary.

•Benny Juarez, assistant principal at Tulalip Elementary, is assistant principal at Kellogg Marsh and Pinewood elementaries. •Lisa Taylor is assistant principal at Cascade and Shoultes elementaries.

•Sophia Taxdahl is assistant principal at Allen Creek and Sunnyside elementaries.

•Ginger Merkel, director of elementary education, is the director of special education services. •Zoe Pilgrim-Placey will fill Merkel’s old spot. She comes from the Lake Washington School District.

•Bradley Roden is interim director of secondary special education. Roden has been a special education teacher at MG.
