MARYSVILLE – The Marysville School District planned a special meeting Tuesday morning to approve the sale of two surplus properties.

One consists of 17.97 acres at 2325 116th St. NE and 2415 116th St. NE. The district has come to an agreement with Soun Yang to buy the property for $540,000.

The other contains 19.42 acres at 6401 132nd St. NE. The district has come to an agreement with Malini Reddy and Madhavi Kalki to purchase the property for $247,500. The school board also was expected to approve a loan of $425,000 from the general fund to the transportation vehicle fund, which has an immediate need for cash due to a grant from the Department of Ecology. Interest is 2.5 percent and shall be repaid by Aug. 31.

The district has sold numerous other properties in recent months.
