Marysville police vehicle strikes pedestrian, 61

MARYSVILLE – A Marysville police officer today struck a 61-year-old pedestrian crossing State Avenue near Grove Street.

The collision occurred about 11:00 a.m. Thursday when an on-duty officer in a marked police vehicle was turning southbound on State from Grove when the officer’s exterior mirror struck the man as he crossed the street, Assistant Police Chief Jeff Goldman said.

The man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett for possible injuries to his right shoulder and knee, Goldman said.

This vehicle-pedestrian collision investigation is ongoing by the Marysville Collision Investigation Unit (CIT).
