Father suffers knife wound in fight with son

MARYSVILLE – A fight between a father and son ended with the dad suffering a stab wound to a shoulder, police said today.

Police responded to a home in the 7200 block of 35th Place NE after 10:45 this morning after a report of a man bleeding from the chest, assistant police chief Jeff Goldman said in a news release. The preliminary investigation revealed that the pair were involved in a physical altercation.

The father was transported via ambulance to Providence Regional Medical Center Colby Campus for the knife injury. The son also was transported via ambulance for injuries sustained to his arm and face.

The son was booked into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center in Everett on suspicion of first-degree domestic violence assault.
