Many shows

MARYSVILLE – From comedy to “Cabaret” to Readers’ Theatre, Red Curtain has a variety of shows coming up.

Comedy takes the stage first with performances July 19-20. Improv comes to the stage that Friday followed by “HERlarious” that Saturday, both at 8 p.m. The stand-up female comics for that show include: Sindi Somers, Nikki Kilpatrick, Deborah Tahara, Becky Lynn, Jaci Terjeson, Andrea Entz and Stephanie Nam. Readers’ Theatre returns July 26-28 with the play “Love, Loss, And What I Wore,” which features stories about women and their relationship to the clothing they wear. From a deceased family member’s housecoat, to a wedding dress, and even their first bra, these characters talk about how clothing has shaped their lives and others’ perceptions of them. The first two performances are at 8 p.m., with the Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.

Music, street fair

ARLINGTON – The Arlington Street Fair will again feature the Kornstalk Music Festival.

Bands that will provide live entertainment on the Legion Park Stage include:

•Saturday: 11 a.m.-noon, Purrlie’s Mission (for kids); 12:30-2:30 p.m., Derringer Darlings; 3-5 p.m., Rachelle Wright Band; 5:30-7:30 p.m., Classic Roads Band.

•Sunday: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., A Well Known Stranger; 1-2:30 p.m., Voices of the Village.

Music lovers are asked to bring a donation for the Arlington Food Bank.

Music4Life meeting

MARYSVILLE – An informational meeting about Music4Life will take place at 6:30 p.m. July 16 at the Marysville School District board room.

The program is run by parents, community members,and other interested parties and can put instruments into students hands at no cost to them.
