ARLINGTON- Arlington Public Schools recently earned a clean audit from the state Auditor’s Office for 2017-18.

Arlington’s financial statements showed no significant deficiencies, material weaknesses or instances of noncompliance that were material to the documents, according to the auditor’s opinion in its annual review.

“District staff worked very closely with the audit team to ensure their audit requests were handled in a timely manner and that district responses were clear and well organized,” said Gina Zeutenhorst, executive director of financial services.

Superintendent Chrys Sweeting said, “Positive audit results are an indicator of the strong financial stewardship of not only the school board, but all departments and schools doing their part to maintain best business practices over federal grants and other financial operations of the district.”
