Arlington gears up for its 2 biggest festivals – 4th and Fly-In

ARLINGTON – The biggest annual festivals in town are coming up with the Old-Fashioned Fourth of July followed by the Arlington Fly-In July 7-9. The carnival started June 23 at the Arlington Airport. The Still Beer and Wine Garden and food concessions start up at Haller Park from noon to 9 p.m. July 3.

That continues July 4 at Haller, along with:

• Pancake Breakfast, 7-11 a.m.

• Pedal, Paddle, Puff Triathlon, 9 a.m.

• Foam 5k Run, 10 a.m.

• Kiwanis Auctions – silent auction at 9 a.m. and live auction at 10:30 a.m.

• Hometown Fourth of July, Legion Park noon-4:30 p.m.

• Kiddies Parade on Olympic Avenue 4:30 p.m.

• Grand Parade on Olympic 5 p.m.

• Rotary Duck Dash at Haller 7:30 p.m.

• Food concessions at Quake Field 7:30-9:30 p.m.

• Fireworks at Boys & Girls Club, approximately 10 p.m.

The Arlington Fly-In celebrates all facets of general aviation, providing aviation education to more than 35,000 annual attendees, generating more than $2 million in direct spending in the community.
