WSP reports two-car accident on SR 9 near Marysville

MARYSVILLE - The Washington State Patrol is reporting a two-car accident on SR 9, near 60th Street NE, which occurred at approximately 4:55 p.m., Tuesday, and resulted in both cars coming to rest in a ditch and both drivers being transported to the hospital in Everett.

The WSP report states that a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Lake Stevens woman was headed north on SR 9 when it drifted across the double yellow centerline and struck a southbound vehicle driven by a 65-year-old male from Mount Vernon.

The report goes on to state that the vehicle that had crossed the centerline ultimately came to a rest on its side facing southbound in a ditch to the west of the roadway. The vehicle which was struck came to rest in the same ditch facing eastbound.
