Motorcyclist killed in Highway 2 accident, Marysville girl OK

MARYSVILLE - A 16-year-old Marysville girl was in an accident Feb. 17, at approximately 3:30 p.m., in which a motorcycle rider was killed.
According to Rebecca Hover, public information officer for the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, a 47-year-old man on a motorcycle was headed westbound on Highway 2 when a Honda Sedan on Rice Road pulled out in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the Honda on Highway 2. The motorcycle rider was going to be airlifted to a Seattle hospital but was pronounced dead before being airlifted.
The 16-year-old Marysville girl, who was driving the Honda, and her 17-year-old passenger, a Snohomish area boy, were not injured in the crash.
No citations have been issued and the crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office Collision Investigation Unit.
