MARYSVILLE — The Suburban Newspapers of America announced the winners of its 2009 Editorial Contest Feb. 11 and the Marysville Globe garnered two awards.

Competing against newspapers from across the United States and Canada, The Globe brought home a Third Place award in the Best Sports Section for non-daily newspapers with circulations of 8,001-16,000.

The Marysville Globe also garnered an Honorable Mention for Best Front Page for non-daily newspapers with circulations of 8,001-16,000.
