MARYSVILLE — Parents and guardians of to-be students recently gathered to sign up their children for kindergarten.
The Marysville School District held its annual Information Fair and Kindergarten Registration Kickoff event on Saturday, Jan. 23 at Totem Middle School.
Dozens of staff members representing district schools and local organizations were on hand for parents to ask questions while they registered their children for school.
While parents were busy filling out paperwork, their children colored and played.
Four-year-old Alister Teske sat quietly next to his mom, Andrea Teske, while she completed district forms.
Alister will be attending kindergarten at Cascade Elementary in the fall.
“He’s very excited,” Andrea Teske said about her son.
Representatives from the YMCA of Snohomish County, the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program, the Marysville Public Library, the city of Marysville Parks and Recreation department, the Marysville PTA and the Tulalip Boys & Girls Club were also on hand during the two-hour event.
