MARYSVILLE — Marysville residents who are looking to lend aid to those impacted by the earthquake in Haiti now have a couple of local options.

The staff of the Marysville Library, located at 6120 Grove St., has offered to answer questions from visitors and patrons who would like to know how they can help. Those who are interested may call 360-659-5000, or visit the library's information desk for further information, from either Marysville Library Manager Eric Spencer or any available staff members.

The Marysville Fred Meyer store, located at 9925 State Ave., is also supporting Haiti relief efforts. From now through Jan. 30, customers and passersby can deposit cash and check donations in the plastic bins at any Fred Meyer checkout stand, and 100 percent of the funds raised will go to the American Red Cross' "Haiti Disaster Relief Fund."
