WSP trooper injured in 1-5 crash near Arlington

MARYSVILLE — A Washington State Patrol trooper was injured Friday morning when his vehicle was rear-ended near milepost 204 of Interstate 5.

"Right now what I know is the trooper was rear ended and is in the process of being extracted from the car, then will be transported to the hospital," said Trooper Keith Leary of the WSP. Trooper Leary added that he is being told that the trooper's injuries are non-life threatening.

According to Trooper Leary the driver who struck the trooper is in custody for suspicion of DUI.
