Mayor Dennis Kendall helped cut the ribbon to celebrate the grand opening of the Allen Creek Market Fresh IGA 5610 64th St. NE on Saturday, Sept. 12, which was previously a Thriftway supermarket for several years. Different name, same owners.

As part of grand opening festivities, immediately after the ribbon-cutting, the first 100 customers in line when the doors opened received a free bag of groceries as one of several promotions to welcome the store reopening under the banner of Allen Creek Market Fresh IGA.
