Marysville’s BookWORKS is celebrating National Children’s Book Week, May 11-17, by collecting donations of new books for Page Ahead, a children’s literacy program dedicated to helping Washington state children in need succeed in school by developing strong reading skills. BookWORKS is offering 20 percent off books purchased for this cause.

The owner, Mary Burns intends to match donations of every five books with one book from the store.

BookWORKS is also hosting a healing day Saturday, May 16, with Reiki master Debbie Brodersen, angel reader Natasha Ventner, intuitive medium Ann Inman and tarot reader Joanie Vogel from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

BookWORKS bookstore is located at 1510 Third Street in downtown Marysville.

For information call Burns at 360-659-4997.
