MARYSVILLE — Early in the morning of Dec. 2, a patron of the Buzz Inn allegedly became a robber.

At approximately 12:11 a.m., a report of a robbery with a weapon at the Buzz Inn Steak House, at 1115 State Ave., drew a response from Marysville police. When officers arrived, they discovered a lone female employee had been tied up. The employee told officers that a male suspect had come behind the bar, pointed a gun at her and told her to get on the floor.

The male suspect was at the Buzz Inn with a woman who was described as having “dirty blond” hair and wearing a grey or white shirt. The woman left the Buzz Inn before the robbery occurred.

Marysville police detectives continued the investigation throughout the day Dec. 2 and identified one male suspect as a 32-year-old Marysville resident. At approximately 11 p.m. the same day, the Marysville Police Tactical Entry Team served a search warrant at a residence on the 6500 block of 68th Avenue in Marysville.

Information obtained by the detectives led them to believe that the suspects were at the Everett Bus Station. The Everett and Marysville police departments went to the bus station and took into custody both the male suspect and the 31-year-old female, also a Marysville resident, without incident. The man was booked into Snohomish County Jail for robbery in the first degree, and the woman was booked into Snohomish County Jail for robbery in the first degree and a violation of the controlled substance act. The alleged firearm was not recovered.

Marysville Police have continued to investigate, as detectives attempt to identify additional suspects related to the robbery. The female victim was able to provide further information that allowed investigators to come up with a composite sketch.

The victim described a white male suspect standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches and weighing 150 pounds. She said that he was “skinny and had a slight build.” The suspect was wearing all dark clothing and a hat.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery should contact Marysville police at 360-363-8326.
