MARYSVILLE — A Marysville resident suffered an attempted robbery at 11 p.m. on Oct. 9.

The victim foiled the three suspects at his apartment, on the 4600 block of 80th Street, after one of the suspects displayed a pistol and demanded money. The victim used a baseball bat to defend himself and his family.

According to Marysville Police Lt. Jeff Goldman, the pistol displayed by the one suspect was later determined to be an air soft style toy, and that suspect sustained a head injury from being struck by the victim's baseball bat.

Police arrested the suspect but were informed the other two men had fled in an older dark-colored vehicle. The apprehended suspect lists his residence in Monroe, and was treated for his injuries and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for robbery in the first degree.
