Soroptimist annual auction set for Oct. 17

MARYSVILLE — In Italian the words “Ciao Bella” mean “Hello, beautiful.”

The Italian version of the phrase is the name of the annual fundraising auction planned by the Marysville chapter of Soroptimist International.

The event is slated for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Hawthorne Inn in Smokey Point.

The evening begins with a social hour, including complimentary wine, with a buffet dinner and the silent auction starting at 7:15 p.m.

According to the Soroptimist, the event boasts hundreds of auction items to bid on, along with raffles for other items.

Auction items were donated by local businesses

The Soroptimist is women’s organization that locally supports student scholarships, victims of domestic violence, the Marysville Food Bank, the Marysville Family YMCA and numerous other groups and activities.

Tickets for the evening are $45 per person. The Soroptimist will be accepting auction donations through Oct. 10.
