Soroptimist International of Marysville is holding a “Get Acquainted” Open House Tuesday, Sept. 16, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at “Let’s Dish”, 11605 State Avenue, in Marysville.

Soroptimist International of Marysville is a volunteer service organization for business and professional women. Soroptimists volunteer their talents and energy to help women and girls live their dreams every day by giving them the resources to create positive change—for themselves, their families and their communities.

Some of the community projects the Soroptimists support include Hospice, YMCA Invest In Youth, Marysville Food Bank, Historical Society, the Marysville Library and Relay for Life.

Hands-on projects include giving Christmas stockings and Easter baskets to Quilceda Meadows, a group home for developmentally disabled adults and having our annual Holdiay “Panty Party” for the Women’s Battered Shelter.

The Soroptimists help collect food for Operation Marysville Community Christmas and sponsored “Hams for the Hungry” food drive for Easter.

Programs the Soriptimists support on a Federation and International level include the Soroptimist Workplace Campaign to End Domestic Violence, Soroptimist STOP Trafficking, Soroptimist Disaster Aid for women and Girls and Project Sierra: a Family and a Future.

You are invited to learn more about Soroptimist International of Marysville. Please contact Caroline Brown, 360-651-1605 to RSVP for the event or if you have further questions about Soroptimist.
