Man accused of sexual assault

Marysville police have announced the arrest of a 25-year-old Auburn man for sexual misconduct with a minor in the first degree.
On March 24, a 16-year-old Marysville girl reported to the Marysville Police Department that she had been sexually assaulted by her cheerleading coach at the athletic facility were she trains. The victim reported that on March 22, she went to the athletic facility for a lesson with the suspect. While on break, her coach allegedly touched her inappropriately.
The suspect in not affiliated with Marysville-Pilchuck High School. The victim was paying the suspect to teach her tumbling and cheerleading. The suspect teaches at athletic facilities and gymnasiums throughout western Washington.
The suspect was arrested March 26 by Marysville detectives, booked into the Marysville jail and then transferred to the Snohomish County jail.
