Individual wanted for Planning Commission vacancy

MARYSVILLE Mayor Dennis Kendall is seeking individuals interested in filling a vacancy on the seven-member Marysville Planning Commission.
The appointee will fill the seat that became open when Planning Commissioner Dave Voigt recently announced that he is stepping down. Voigts current term expires in August 2011. Applicants must reside within city limits or the citys urban growth area, which generally mirrors Marysville School District boundaries.
The commissioners serve as an advisory board to the Mayor and City Council on issues such as land use, critical areas and shoreline management planning, and long-range planning issues. The commission meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday each month in City Hall, 1049 State Ave. Other meetings may be scheduled as necessary.
To apply, individuals interested in serving are asked to send a brief letter of interest to Assistant Administrative Services Director Tracy Jeffries, Marysville City Hall, 1049 State Ave., Marysville, WA 98270. Deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16. For more information call 360-363-8000 or visith the website at ci.marysville.wa.us.
