Sno-Isle Libraries want you to share your WW II memories.
MARYSVILLE World War II is top of mind these, with the long-awaited debut recently of documentary filmmaker Ken Burns newest program, The War. Sno-Isle Libraries is launching an audio-recording project that will give veterans, spouses, and other family members an opportunity to share their memories of the war that gave us the greatest generation.
Next month, library staff will be conducting interviews about the American experience during World War II; interviews will be conducted between 10am and 4pm on the following days and locations:
Oct. 18 Marysville Library 6120 Grove St.
To schedule an appointment for recording, contact Terry Beck at Sno-Isle Libraries at 360-651-7016 or by email at email@example.com. Drop-ins will also be accommodated. Recordings may be submitted to the Veterans History Project, a partnership between the Library of Congress, PBS, WETA, and Florentine Films. Recorded interviews will also be available on the Sno-Isle Libraries web site beginning in mid-November.
