The annual holiday toy drive of the North County Fire and EMS district took in approximately 350 gifts, according to battalion Chief Christian Davis. The toys first went to the Stanwood Starbucks in mid-December and pictured here with the goods are Firefighter Norm Odegard, Firefighter Matt Fleischbein, Davis and Lt. Tyler Byers. Davis said Starbucks employees delivered the toys to the childrens wards of local hospitals. Firefighters have completed the drive for several years, but Davis figures this most recent effort was the most successful yet.
