Maryfest took a test drive on the 2007 Marysville Strawberry Festival parade float last week, when the Royalty tried out the new aviation theme at Jennings Memorial Park. Festival organizers dodged a bullet with a rare patch of blue sky as they unveiled the 76th Anniversary float featuring a bright red bi-plane and golden accents. As Maryfest board members tweaked the decorations, sound system and revved the engine the Strawberry Festival Royalty enjoyed their first time on the float. Pictured here are Ambassador Alicia Coraguilo, Royal Ambassador Cassie Miller and Ambassador Brooklynn El Fattal, wearing their faux sable mantles and bright red satin dresses while they learned how to stand on their marks. Junior royalty members Courtney Harris, Hannah Taylor and Emilee McKamey also got their first look and feel for the float.
