MARYSVILLE Police are searching for a suspect in the Feb. 6 robbery of an espresso stand in Smokey Point.
At about 4:10 p.m. a suspect approached the 17-year-old barista in the business at the intersection of 136th Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard and presented her with a bag: he implied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The girl put an unknown amount of money in the bag and the suspect fled southbound on foot.
He is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, with a dark complexion, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slender build. He wore a red bandana over his face with a gray sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans.
Officers from the Marysville and Arlington police departments and the Snohomish County Sheriffs office and the Washington State Patrol searched the area with canine units. A short scent track led police to believe the suspect entered a vehicle and drove away.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Marysville Police Departments detective unit at 360-363-8326.
