Captain Thomas Mascolo presents $5,000 National AOK Scholarship to Arlington freshman Amanda Weaver, who also won the privilege of lighting the Giving Tree Nov. 17 at Smokey Point Navy Exchange, launching the Season of Giving. Exchange shoppers can put presents for military families under The Giving Tree through Dec. 17 or they can select an angel or star tag from the tree and donate a toy or gift to a selected child, making it easy for people to help others during this holiday season. This project is co-coordinated through the NAVSTA Everett Chaplains office, NEX Smokey Point and NWCA Totem #277.
