In its continuing effort to provide quality shopping experiences to families in need, Arlingtons Kids Kloset has issued a wish list for the holidays.
They need new socks, new underwear, new shoes, new hygiene articles such as shampoos, conditioners, brushes, combs, toothbrushes, toothpastes, soaps, razors, shave creams, deodorants, books (gently used or new), new backpacks, new school supplies, and new or gently used clothing, especially new pajamas and jeans or pants for girls and boys ages 4 to 10.
Since opening in May of 2005 Kids Kloset served 525 children during its first year of operation. Kids Kloset provides new and gently-used clothing free of charge to students enrolled in the Arlington, Lakewood, and Darrington school districts who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Services are provided free of charge twice yearly.
Along with the above items, Kids Kloset also needs more volunteers to help sort, launder, iron, display clothing, and help families who come to shop, as well as to help seek funding and donations.
Kids Kloset provides new socks and underwear, shoes, new hygiene articles, plus new backpacks and school supplies each fall for the school year. Each child is encouraged to select a book to take home with them, also. For information call 360-387-5270.
