SWAT responds to standoff near Marysville

TULALIP — A 36-year-old man was taken into custody around 3 a.m. June 28, and booked into the Snohomish County jail, after he'd barricaded himself in a house following a domestic violence incident on the evening of June 27.

The Snohomish County SWAT team responded to the scene June 27, after someone called 911 around 6 p.m. to report what sounded like a man and woman arguing in the 7800 block of 27th Avenue NE in Marysville.

Sheriff's Office deputies arrived and two people exited the house — a 42-year-old woman who was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic violence, and a 22-year-old man who had sustained minor injuries in the incident. No injuries were reported by anyone else at the scene.

The third man, who had a felony warrant for his arrest, stayed inside the home.

Agency assistance was provided by the Tulalip Tribal Police Department. The Snohomish County SWAT Team is comprised of personnel from the Sheriff's Office and Everett Police Department.
