MARYSVILLE At approximately

6:30 a.m., July 18, Marysville Fire District crews responded to a 911 call concerning a residential fire on 74th Street.

The address turned out to be 2529 74th Drive NE in Everett, near Soper Hill Road. Nevertheless, local crews reported finding a fully engulfed home, according to fire district Public Information Officer Stephanie Price.

Price said emergency crews immediately began a defensive attack on the flames. Crews arriving at the scene later surrounded the structure to help ensure the fire did not spread. Price added there was no one in the home at the time of the blaze.

Mutual aid at the fire scene was provided by the Lake Stevens, Getchell and Tulalip Bay fire departments. In total, six engine companies, one ladder company and two medic companies responded to the scene along with two on-duty battalion chiefs.
