EVERETT - Sound Publishing, which owns The Arlington Times and The Marysville Globe, is gearing up for a busy Thanksgiving and Black Friday week, delivering 10 million holiday savings inserts to readers in the greater Puget Sound area. With 600 packed pallets covering our docks and more on the way, the staff at our regional press center in Everett is putting in more than 2,100 hours to make sure our 42 local publications are chock full of Black Friday savings.
Our fleet of more than 500 adult and youth carriers will then be hitting the streets to deliver unmatched holiday deals to 1.4 million engaged readers around the Puget Sound. Sound Publishing is ready, let the holiday season begin.
"We at The Marysville Globe and The Arlington Times constantly strive to deliver the best possible community news and features. We also strive to bring to our readers the most current and outstanding values offered by local and regional businesses through their advertising with us," said Paul Brown, publisher of The Arlington Times and The Marysville Globe. "So, our last edition for November will be delivered on Wednesday, Nov. 27, instead of Sataurday of this week. That way, we can deliver the 'Black Friday' circulars and advertisements to our early holiday shoppers. We hope the communities we represent will benefit from our efforts to bring this service to your doorstep. And, we hope you will find this service to be of value to you and your family."
Brown added, "Our office will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29. The management and staff at The Marysville Globe and The Arlington Times would like to extend our sincere wishers to you, our readers and your family, for a very happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday."
