UPDATE | Search for suspect near Marysville suspended

MARYSVILLE — Snohomish County Sheriff's Office deputies and members of the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force have suspended a search for a 38-year-old man suspected of stealing a red Ninja motorcycle.

On Tuesday, July 16, several law enforcement personnel, as well as two helicopters, searched for four hours in the area where the motorcycle was abandoned, near the 2700 block of 116th Street NE, west of Marysville, but were unable to locate the suspect.

During the search, which started around 1:30 p.m. that afternoon, two deputies were stung several times by either bees or yellow jackets. Both deputies were treated by aid units at the scene and are expected to recover fully.

Members of the public are asked to avoid the area, if possible. The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately six feet tall with brown hair, wearing a dirty T-shirt.
