Marysville Police investigating injury collision

MARYSVILLE — Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, Marysville Police officers responded to a three-car collision that occurred in the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue in Marysville.

Responding officers learned a small SUV traveling southbound on Cedar Avenue drifted into the northbound lane, sideswiping a late model passenger car, then continued in the wrong lane until hitting a pickup truck head-on.

The driver of the SUV, a 41-year-old Everett woman, was airlifted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, then released. No other injuries were reported.

Members of the department's Collision Investigation Team were called out to investigate due to the severity of the injuries. The team will try to determine what caused the SUV to drift into the oncoming lane of travel.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
