Bicyclist struck and killed by pickup truck in Marysville

MARYSVILLE — State Avenue was shut down for several hours during the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 13, after a bicyclist died from a collision with a vehicle.
Just after 8 p.m., a 64-year-old Granite Falls man was struck by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle northbound in the 10900 block of State Avenue.
Life-saving medical attention was performed at the scene, but was unsuccessful. The driver of the truck, a 25-year-old Marysville man, was not injured.
The cause of the accident was investigated by the Marysville Police Collision Investigation Team, shutting down State Avenue to all traffic between the 10800 and 11000 blocks.
