MARYSVILLE — A 28-year-old Marysville man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after being struck by a car in the 1200 block of State Street at approximately 6:15 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7.

According to Marysville police, the pedestrian had just crossed the westbound lanes of Fourth Street and was entering into the eastbound left turn lane when he was struck by the vehicle. The location where the pedestrian was crossing the street was mid-block and did not have a painted crosswalk. He was wearing dark clothing at the time he was struck.

The driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old Arlington man, suffered minor cuts to his hands.

The pedestrian was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for medical treatment. Police have since learned the pedestrian suffered a broken leg and facial injuries, none that are considered life threatening.

The early morning collision blocked traffic in both directions on Fourth Street for about 40 minutes.

The eastbound lanes were blocked for another 90 minutes for investigators to complete their work at the scene.
