MARYSVILLE — Community input is being sought for the Prevention Redesign Initiative from 1:15-3:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at the Marysville Library, located at 6120 Grove St.

"We will be taking a look Marysville data and choosing areas of focus for our community in the strategic planning process for the PRI," said Andrea Kingsford, recreation coordinator for the city of Marysville Parks and Recreation Department. "It is important to have input from a variety of individuals and organizations to best determine the focus for our community."

Given that community attendance is key to this process, prospective attendees are asked to RSVP by Thursday, Nov. 8, via email to akingsford@marysvillewa.gov.

"As a PRI Community, over the next five years Marysville will benefit from funding and resources for a full time prevention/intervention position at Marysville Middle School, a half-time Snohomish County position dedicated to the Marysville community, and funding for community programs that help meet the needs of our focus areas as determined in the strategic plan," Kingsford said.
