Marysville Police investigating early morning shooting

MARYSVILLE - At about 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning, Marysville Police were dispatched to a shooting that had taken place in the parking lot of a local eating establishment located at the south end of Marysville. At the scene officers contacted a 25-year-old Kent man who had been shot in the abdomen.
The victim was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center where he is currently (at the time of this release) undergoing surgery. His condition is unknown at this time.
“The investigation is in the very early stages and detectives are working to determine why the shooting happened and what events took place before and after the shooting,” stated Commander Robb Lamoureux of the Marysville Police Department.
