TULALIP — An arrest has been made in the death of Pat Buckmaster, whom detectives believe was killed during a burglary and robbery at 4319 Meridian Ave. N. in Marysville on Dec. 1, 2011.

Several arrests have been made in this ongoing investigation during the past two months, but at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, Snohomish County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a 44-year-old male suspect from Bonney Lake in connection with Buckmaster's death.

The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on charges of murder, robbery, burglary, kidnapping and assault.

On Jan. 3 of this year, the Sheriff's Office had acted on a tip to respond to an area near Granite Falls on a report of a dead body.

Investigators located the body of a then-unidentified adult male subject in an outdoor area, and detectives from the Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit handled the death investigation, which was considered suspicious in nature.

The body was then turned over to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office for identification and cause of death information.
