Arlington Police seek suspect in attempted robbery

ARLINGTON — Arlington police are seeking the public’s help to apprehend a suspect in an attempted robbery that occurred the morning of April 27 at the Arlington Motor Inn, located at 2214 SR 530 NE in Arlington.
At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, a man in his late 30s or early 40s placed a BB or pellet-type handgun on the motor inn’s front desk and gestured for the employee to provide him the motel’s money. The employee was able retreat to a rear office where she observed the suspect leave the property and immediately called 911.
The employee was able to provide police with a detailed description of the suspect. The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 5’9” to 6 feet tall, weighing around 210 pounds, with a red colored goatee-style beard and moustache that was peppered with gray, and pockmarks on his face. He was last seen wearing a dark blue or black hooded jacket, blue jeans, and sunglasses.
Anyone with information regarding the attempted robbery or the location of the suspect is asked to call 911.
