Marysville Police locate missing 80-year-old woman

MARYSVILLE — Marysville Police responded at approximately 5 p.m. on Jan. 23 to a report of a missing 80-year-old female from the 9800 block of 48th Drive N.E. in Marysville.

The 80-year-old had last been seen at approximately 3 p.m. and had failed to show up for a scheduled bus trip at 4 p.m., according to Cmdr. Ralph Krusey of the Marysville Police Department.

Marysville Police requested the assistance of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue unit as soon as the check of the immediate area failed to locate the missing woman. Marysville Fire District personnel also responded and assisted in the search operation. At approximately 8 p.m. King County Guardian 1 arrived over the area and began searching.

At approximately 8:10 p.m. Marysville Detectives located the missing woman near the Marysville Boat Launch at State Avenue and the Ebey Slough.

The missing woman was taken back to her residence by Marysville Police.

Krusey added that as a result of the cooperative efforts of the Marysville Police Department, Marysville Fire District, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue and King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian 1, an 80-year-old in frail condition was located and returned to her home.
