MARYSVILLE — Marysville Police responded to the 1900 block of First Street at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Dec. 30 to investigate a report of a man who was assaulted with a firearm. The victim, a 22-year-old Marysville man, reported he had been “pistol whipped” by an unknown subject in his residence at that location.

Officers arrived and contacted the man who had sustained a non-life threatening injury to his head. The man told police he did not know who had assaulted him. Officers located what appeared to be two bullet holes in the walls of the apartment. The man received medical attention at the scene and was transported by aid car to the hospital.

This incident is under investigation by Marysville Detectives. At this time the police do not believe this is a random event.
