MARYSVILLE - The Marysville School District has announced that schools will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 24. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday students are scheduled to return to class on Nov. 29.

The following update is posted on the district’s website.

UPDATE FOR 11/24/10 - Marysville schools will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 24, due to treacherous icy conditions on side roads, sidewalks, parking lots and school zones. Although some of the main roads seem okay, the bitter cold weather and icy conditions on the side roads and sidewalks make bus and walking routes unsafe for students and drivers. District and school activities including athletic practices are canceled. On behalf of the Marysville School District Board of Directors, and all staff, we wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday weekend. Happy Thanksgiving. School resumes on Monday, Nov.29.
