MARYSVILLE — A garage fire was quickly extinguished in the afternoon of Sept. 2 by Marysville Fire District personnel.

Just after 4 p.m. that day, Marysville Fire crews were dispatched to reports of a house on fire in the 12500 block of 12th Avenue NW. Smoke could be seen from miles away.

Crews arrived to find the attached garage of the single-family residence well involved, and had to lay more than 1,100 feet of hose in the course of fighting the fire.

There were no injuries, since all members of the house we able to evacuate after hearing their smoke alarms sound.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's office is conducting an investigation.
