Kristin Banfield, city of Arlington spokeswoman, confirmed Wednesday, Jan. 20, that crews will begin construction at the site, located on 172nd Street NE (SR 531).

Banfield said in an e-mail that the estimated completion date for the Walmart is Sept. 20.

Haggen stores provide free prenatal vitamins and fluoride supplements to anyone who has prescriptions for them. No insurance plan is required. The prenatal vitamins usually cost $8-$19 per month. The fluoride supplements, recommended for children living in households without a fluoridated water supply, retail for approximately $6 per month.

King County judge rules state Legislature not equipped to fund basic ed
Feb 04 2010, 3:18 PM SEATTLE — Washington is not equipped to fund basic education under the state's constitution, ruled a King County Superior Court judge Thursday, Feb. 4.

In his opinion, Judge John Erlick said that the state has made progress toward its constitutional obligation, but funding for education is "not stable, and is not dependable."

Erlick said that local school districts must rely on other revenue sources, adding that the Legislature has continued to underfund basic education.

Q13's Most Wanted features Marysville murder cold case
Jennifer Brinkman - Courtesy Photo Feb 26 2010, 11:53 AM MARYSVILLE — "Washington's Most Wanted," will be airing a segment, at 10:30 p.m., Feb. 26 and 27 on Q13 FOX, about the unsolved 1998 homicide of Marysville's Jennifer Brinkman.

Jennifer lived at 1909 Grove St. with her father, Michael Brinkman, who found her dead in their home on March 21, 1998. She was 19 years old.

Michael Brinkman and his girlfriend had left to go to Disneyland March 13, but Jennifer had decided to stay at home. This was the first time Jennifer had stayed at home alone for any substantial length of time. Michael reluctantly agreed to let her stay, considering it a test of her maturity. When Michael returned home March 21, he found Jennifer lying on the floor of her bedroom, and ran out into the street to flag down a Marysville Police officer.

Marysville Police investigators arrest Arlington man for voyeurism/child pornography
Mar 05 2010, 4:52 AM MARYSVILLE - Marysville detectives arrested a 26-year-old Arlington resident, March 4 following the completion of an investigation into the allegations the man was committing acts of voyeurism in a Marysville home he was renting a room in.

Police were originally called to the Marysville residence on Jan. 19, 2010 when family members of the residence found a hidden video recorder in a bathroom. When confronted by the family, the man admitted to having set up the video camera and recording images. He fled the residence before police arrived.
