Picking blueberries on Arlington's Red Rooster Route is an outdoor adventure

On Saturday, July 31, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Bryant Blueberry Farm & Nursery opens its farm gates for its annual Blueberry Festival where blueberries are ripe for picking.

Work to replace SR 529 Ebey Slough Bridge begins in Marysville
Jul 23 2010, 12:15 PM MARYSVILLE — Drivers on State Route 529 can expect road closures on Ebey Slough Bridge the week of July 26 as construction crews work on building the bridge's replacement.

Northbound SR 529 across the Ebey Slough Bridge will completely close from 9 p.m. July 28 to 10 a.m. July 29 for concrete barrier placement.

Work began the week of July 19 on the new Ebey Slough Bridge to replace the current stretch of State Route 529 connecting Marysville and Everett.

Arson suspect wanted in Lake Goodwin Park fire

Jul 26 2010, 2:51 PM STANWOOD — Authorities are searching for a suspect in the July 26 fire at Lake Goodwin Community Park and are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the successful prosecution of a suspect or suspects.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire as arson, and damage to the large playground structure that appears to have been intentionally set on fire that morning is estimated to be as much as $100,000.
